IGGY AND HIS BROW

Breaking News: Michael Ignatieff has a prominent brow.

“Doesn’t this guy look like the Grinch?” Ha! How perceptive! With his bushy eyebrows and sly grin –Licia Corbella, Calgary Herald

Don’t raise an eyebrow at me, sir… yours need plucking. –John Robson, Ottawa Citizen

Though the Iggy attacks were not only confined to his bushy brows, as attention was drawn to Ignatieff’s spineless endorsement of the 2003 Iraq war, and his comments on the Qana bombing in Lebanon.  But the author conveniently forgets about Stephen Harper’s endorsement on the Iraq war when he published a letter deriding Canada’s non-involvement in the war in the Wall Street Journal, and then the war speech he gave to Canadian Parliament, which was in fact plagiarized, word for word, from former Australian Prime Minister Howard’s speech supporting the Iraq war.  At least Iggy can write his own speeches.

Brows and Baghdad.  Sigh.

These stories are half a decade old… let’s move onto something with more substantial and relevant to today’s issues, please.

GEORGE BUSH SHOWS OFF SWEET NINJA SKILLZ IN IRAQ; TAKE HEED STEPHEN HARPER

Bush dodges a shoe thrown by reporter

Bush evades shoe-attack.

On his farewell trip to Iraq, President Bush displayed the agility of a monkey, dodging two shoes hurled at him by an Iraqi reporter.

“If you want the facts, it’s a size 10 shoe,” said Bush.

In a strange moment after the shoe incident, Bush seemed to suggest that the ability to throw shoes at a press conference is a small triumph of the free society emerging in Iraq.

“That’s what happens in free societies where people try to bring attention to themselves.  I guess he was effective because he caused you to say something about it.”–Bush

. . . ok.

But I must admit, I was quite impressed with Bush’s wicked ninja skillz.  It’s definitely a big factor in who I vote for, and  I don’t know about you, but if there’s one thing that Michael Ignatieff oozes from his every pore, it’s Ninjitsu.  It strikes fear into the hearts of the Conservatives, and that’s why they and their supporters are already on preemptive sneak attack to take down the wily red ninja!  Like the Calgary Sun’s Martin Hudson, who rejects Ignatieff by virtue of Jarome Iginla’s hockey prowess, and Pat MacAdam from the Ottawa Sun, who calls Iggy vain and aloof.
